Are you interested in a DIY guide for cell phone repair? Many people want to know how to fix any problems they have with their cell phone without having to send it to their service provider and pay a fee, many times hefty fee. However, cell phone repair does not have to be that difficult and it is something you can do on your own if you just have some supplies and a little know how. An ultrasonic cleaner may prove helpful if you are trying to clean your cell phone or at least clean the parts that are dirty and that may be submerged in water. Ultrasonic cleaners work by creating lots of small bubbles that collapse and form quickly to scrub all the places on your cell phone that you couldn’t possibly clean yourself. All the little edges and parts that can’t be cleaned by hand can be cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner!

Of course, you may be interested in repairing a broken antenna, faceplate, screen, keys, or any other number of things. If this is the case then you need to evaluate the problem and see how much the replacement parts will cost you. In many cases you can find generic replacement parts that will work perfectly with your cell phone and also save you a lot of money. If the parts cost more than replacing the phone with a new cell phone then there really is no point in repairing the phone yourself. Only when you can repair your phone for significantly cheaper than you can replace it should you give it a try.

Now, if you need a new antenna because yours broke or it doesn’t’ work simply look for a replacement antenna on the Internet. Auction sites like eBay are great places to find these parts for cheap. Many times they will also include instructions on how to install the replacement piece. If you don’t have directions just search the web and you will find the directions you need. There are plenty of other parts available for your cell phone and you just need to search for the piece you need. Make sure you search for replacement parts that are compatible with the make and model of phone you have. Otherwise you may buy a part that doesn’t work and that won’t work at all. Once you have the replacement parts and the instructions then you are ready to start repairing your very own cell phone. Good luck!

By: Natalie Aranda

The issue of driving and cell phones has become a prominent one. In the states of New York, New Jersey and D.C. as well as in the province of Newfoundland, cell phone use while driving has been banned. Do you think this is a good idea or not? Is cellular phone use any more of a danger than eating or smoking while driving? Both mobile phone users and non-users have a wide variety of opinion on this matter. If you use a wireless phone, keep in mind that cellular phone providers can offer you cell phone accessories that eliminate the major reasons why wireless phone use while driving is considered to be dangerous.

The busy person who spends a lot of time traveling (for example, a salesperson) often has a valid reason for needing to use a cell phone while in transit. You may simply be spending much more time on the road than in the office. Hands-free headsets are an excellent way of safely using a mobile phone while traveling. Some wireless providers offer hands-free headsets as part of their mobile phone deals. These days you can obtain free cellular phones that offer voice recognition dialing. This makes it easy to program your telephone with important numbers and their associated names, and ensures that while driving you never need to even touch or look at your cell phone.

For the average person who simply carries a mobile telephone for safety reasons, extra cell phone accessories and features are not as necessary. It can be assumed that in the case of an emergency, such a user would pull off the road to use the mobile phone. If however, you are someone who is using their cellular phone for business, consulting with your wireless phone provider about the best cellular phone accessories for your needs is recommended.

This site offers an extensive list of companies that can provide you with free cell phone packages, cell phone accessories like hands-free headsets, and virtually any other cellular phone requirement you might have. Please take a look at them to find exactly what you need!

By: Caitlin Crosain

when you get home from work and casually check your caller ID you notice something strange. One number shows up over and over. Of course, there is no name on your ID. It just says, ‘Wireless Caller’. No message is left on the voice mail or answering machine. Who is the mystery caller? Why have they called over 15 times while you were at work?

Thankfully, despite what you may have been told, wireless, or cell phone calls can be traced. You could try entering the number into your Google search. Unfortunately, most free search tools will only generate a location from which the cell phone originates. Cell phone numbers are not part of the public domain and are therefore not easily traced.

Here is another, more frustrating scenario, that may leave you scratching your head in search of a better way of tracing cell phone numbers. Imagine being awakened from a deep sleep in the middle of the night by your phone ringing off the hook. When you finally gain enough of your senses to answer, a voice on the other end asks, “Were you sleeping?” The next thing you here is laughter, followed by silence as the prankster hangs up. Now, wide awake, you check your caller ID to again find a number, but the same old ‘Wireless Caller’ instead of an identifying name.

If you are tired of prank calls, harassing calls and those suspicious calls while you are away from home, you need to be using a reverse lookup for cell phone numbers. They are available at a very reasonable cost from several different sources. What are they? In short, they are a source of stored information of phone numbers, including cellular, land line and even unlisted. When you enter the mystery number into their search you will receive the owner’s name, street address, city, state and zip code…usually within just a few seconds. This is all the information you will need to report the situation and get it stopped.

A reverse lookup for cell phone numbers is the perfect tool to put a stop to prank calls. It can also be used to help monitor calls your children make or receive. Just cross check any suspicious numbers from your monthly phone statement to be sure they are innocent. These are also an easy way to catch a cheating spouse! By being able to check numbers on his or her phone statement you can become your own private detective!

Don’t put up with the hassle of annoying calls from unknown or unidentified callers. Even cell phone numbers can be traced today with great efficiency. Spend $30 or $40 on a good reverse phone search tool and your problems are solved.

By: Steve Kettle

Among the plenty of inventions today the one which people are not satisfied is cell phones. Online market has arrayed variety of cell phones and cheap cell phone accessories with all new updates and models. To suit the new model pones, updated set of cellular phone accessories too are decorating the market now!

Every day new models with typical new features are arriving. In addition with stuffed technical advancement both in device and in transmission. From one service provider to other they stand differently in the maximum BW they provide with the allowed BW, storage capacity of music, data transmission and multimedia options. Also the majority focuses on the non-standard roaming facilities. The point is what type of technology they use.

Both Verizon and Sprint uses CDMA technology .The multiplexing scheme also differs and W-CDMA is been used by Verizon which is not different from Sprints CDMA it’s just a multiplexing scheme. As CDMA cell phones of yesterdays never used a SIM, the choice of cell phone which supports them is less. Here the Sprint is little bit forward since the cell phone supporting Sprint network is more.

However, Verizon who came up with CDMA’s with SIM cards have fewer choices for the cell phone handset which people use. When coverage and roaming is concerned both the cell phones are providing same service but Sprint provides it with less cost when compared to Verizon. Next, as most CDMA cell phones support IP access and video Verizon is more probable in this aspect. But the audio quality is better in Sprint than the Verizon.

Also Sprint introduces advertisements to the customers who go for internet and IP access which sometimes makes the customer to feel uneasy. The Sprint providers come up with interpolated VGA resolution display which is a drawback since it is half-less than the resolution of smart phones. Sprint uses Bluetooth 1.1 for the transfer of data’s between the mobile and pc which is outdated when compared to the new Bluetooth standard. But Verizon comes up with the new standard of the wireless Bluetooth scheme. If you have taken decision to try purchasing cell phones, online market is there for your favor with plenty of cheap cell phone accessories. Cost ranges of cellular phone accessories you find online are exceedingly reasonable and economical.

When compared to Sprint the Verizon is a good service provides of IP access and internet browsing. In addition the software are error free, clean from viruses and robust. Sprint provides a cheaper data service which is a granted one. As can be seen both have ups and downs, but for users who needs less roaming and cheap can go for Sprint .Else Verizon is a good choice which comes up with good facilities with cost effectiveness.

Is it easy for you to compare the features of Verizon and Sprint now? Wish to see the cellular phone accessories for your dream cell phone? Find the grandly displayed collection of cheap cell phone accessories online and pick your choice effortlessly.

By: Caitlina Fuller

This is usually the system that sells you the phone and provides the service. There are also two kinds of cell phones. These are the GSM and the CDMA types of mobile phones. The GSM is the type of phone used almost everywhere in the world, but the CDMA is a bit more common in the United States.

While it is possible to unlock a cell phone, many people prefer to buy unlocked cell phones. Any one who has watched television in the last couple of years is going to be aware of the tremendous competition between the various mobile phone service providers. These companies are most anxious to lock you into using their service and this is the purpose for locking them. When you own an unlocked phone, you are going to be able to select your own service, and use what is really your property in the way that you chose to use it.

GSM phones are very easy to unlock, and the CDMA phones are a bit harder. In either case, buying an unlocked mobile phone might make a little more sense than buying a phone and then unlocking it later. Ebay is one of the best sources for the purchase of unlocked mobile phones, but you need be a bit careful here. Some sellers on Ebay do not fully understand the concept of locked or unlocked. This is not really an attempt at dishonesty. They are not necessarily tech types, and simply do not understand. The best solution is to send a question to the seller and make sure that they understand exactly what it is you are asking of them.

Unlocked phones are also sold outside the United States and in some countries such as India; it is customary to unlock cell phones before selling them all the time. With the global internet market, this is a viable option for the purchase of an unlocked cell phone. Once again, the important issue to consider is making sure the seller understands exactly what you are looking to receive. Once you have your unlocked cell phones in your hands, it is an easy matter to determine if it is truly unlocked. All you need to do is try it out and it will tell you its status. If it is unlocked you are going to be able to use it to connect with whatever service you wish to use.

By: Natalie Aranda

Sometimes cellular service gets a bit confusing when it comes to choosing the right wireless plan. Did you know pre paid and pay as you go cell phone plans are totally different cellular plan options? Did you know there are pre pay cell phone plans very similar to post paid? Knowing the difference can save you money on your cell phone bill.

Many times people confuse pre paid cell phone plans with pay as you go cellular service. The big difference here is pre paid cellular plans usually have a monthly bill and include such luxuries as free nights and weekends and free mobile to mobile, yet it’s a set spending limit. Pay as you go only allows you to use minutes you pay for in advance.

Benefits of pre paid cell phone plans are that anyone can take advantage of the service. There is no credit check, and you can make good use of the free calling features and unlimited minutes. The drawback to pre paid is you won’t be able to go over your monthly minutes, else you’ll lose all service until the next billing cycle.

Going with a pay as you go cellular plan has its advantages in the fact that you only pay for minutes you use. For people who need a cell phone for mostly emergencies and won’t be using the cell phone to make many calls, pay as you go is the best option. There is no monthly fee, but there may be a set amount of time when you’ll need to refill minutes.

Unlike pre paid or pay as you go cell phone plans, post paid cellular service usually involves a one to two year contract, and you’ll need to have good credit to avoid a sometimes very hefty deposit. Advantages to post paid are numerous, including free cell phones, insane amounts of anytime minutes additional family lines and more.

Is pre paid cell phone service cheaper than post paid cellular plans? Time to think outside the box. Forget about the cent per minute rate. Forget about free nights and weekends, and forget about free mobile to mobile minutes. Do you have a good credit rating? Ask yourself how much you’ll be using the cell phone service on a daily basis.

For those rarely using the cell phone, you’ll benefit from pay as you go since in many cases you’ll only need to add around 20 dollars every three months or so. Pre pay is great if you need to have the security of being able to make or receive a call only when you need it, and don’t want to rely on a pay phone being nearby as with calling cards.

Moderate to occasionally extensive cell phone usage warrants a good pre paid cell phone plan. If you sometimes need to make calls during peak hours but can wait until the off hours to gab, you could save around 10 to 20 dollars a month by using a pre paid cell phone plan. Why pay extra for something you may not use or can limit?

For the excessive conversationalist, there is not going to be anything cheaper than a good post paid cell phone plan. Many times even if you go over your monthly spending limit, the charge for calls can be minimal depending on your cellular carrier. Always check for roaming fee’s and additional long distance charges when selecting a cellular carrier.

There you have it. No one cell phone plan can really be any cheaper than the other in general. What really matters is how you’ll use the service and what your calling habits are. Pay as you go for moderate, pre paid for moderate to extensive, and of course post paid for excessive, if you have good credit. Happy cell phone shopping!

By: Daymon Hoag

So you’re looking to find someone’s cell phone number online? Well it can be tricky business with all the sites offering reverse phone call services. There are actually quite a few ways you can go about finding someone’s cell phone number online. I’m going to give you a method or two that you can try.

Use Google as a phonebook

Yes that’s right, search engines are great places to search for cell phone numbers. The chance is very slim, but you could find the number your looking for. You see when anyone types in their number it is indexed by Google. Yes thats right, you need to be careful what you put on the internet, it may come back to haunt you. Heres the simple steps to finding someone’s number through a search engine.

-First you need to open up any search engine, try them all for this because some of them index faster than others. Next you need to type in the number with area code included; you also need to make sure you type in any variation of the phone numbers format. I suggest that you go at least a few pages deep in each search engine to see if you can find the person number you’re looking for. You need to make sure you type the number perfectly; any missed number can alter the search results.

No Luck with the search engines?

Well you need to realize it can be tough to locate the number your looking for, but you can check out my site in my bio box below to find the number your looking for. I hope this method has helped you, and remember its not impossible to find someones cell phone number online. Good Luck!

By: John J Thompson

A one year cell phone warranty is included with every mobile phone you purchase new. If you purchased the cell phone used directly from the cell phone company or received it through warranty exchange or the insurance replacement program it has a 30-90 day warranty dependent on your cell phone company.

Your cell phone warranty covers manufacturer defect. So what exactly is considered ‘manufacturer defect’? A phone that is less than 1 year old and was purchased new from the direct cell phone company i.e. ATT Wireless, T-Mobile or an Authorized Dealer or Retailer, that displays one or more of the following problems:

* The speaker is not working or the microphone is not working (I can’t hear the caller or the caller can’t hear me)

* The phone will not charge because the charging port is loose from daily wear and tear and is not physically broken because you jammed your charger repeatedly into the charging slot ‘upside down’

* The battery dies quickly (within 1 hour of a full charge) or constantly reads low battery no matter how long you have had it on the charger.

* The phone screen is faint or blank (usually you would notice this as soon as you open your new phone). Otherwise it is generally a result of water damage.

* The internal antenna is broken therefore even after you activated your phone it still receives no service even though you are in a service area

*Charger doesn’t work, meaning there is no indicator.

* If you have a phone with a manufacturer defect and the problem occurs within the cell phone warranty period the cell phone company will replace the cell phone through the warranty program at no charge.

In order to start a warranty exchange request the first thing you will need to is contact customer care to get the process started.

How to Make A Warranty Exchange Request:

1.	You call the company and tell them you are having a problem with your phone and believe that it is a cell phone warranty issue

2.	The representative will walk you through a series of pre qualifying questions and manual phone tests.

3.	If the problem is deemed a warranty issue they will transfer you to their warranty exchange department

4.	The representative will repeat many of the questions from the initial customer care representative and walk you through a series of pre qualifying questions and manual phone tests.

5.	They will have you read some numbers off the back of your phone or battery, as this is how they determine that (1) The equipment you are calling about is what is shown in their system (2) Your issue is under the cell phone warranty which can be determined by the number and letter sequence on your serial number

6.	After determining that your phone qualifies under the warranty exchange program they will mail you a replacement phone first with a mailer (may or may not be pre-paid dependent on your carrier).

7.	You will have about 5-7 days to get the defective cell phone back without having your bill charged for it (they will provide you with the actual time period before they ship out the device.

8.	You will receive what they call a ‘transceiver only’ which is the phone with no battery.

9.	If the carrier gets the device back and it is physically damaged or something is wrong with it other than what you stated, they will charge your bill a fee that is equivalent of buying a refurbished phone. Either way you always keep the device they sent you and they will always keep the device you sent them, repair it and often recycle back into their own warranty replacement or insurance pool dependent on the age of the device and the problem.

Note: The carrier direct (i.e. ATT Wireless, Verizon Wireless) handles warranty exchanges for phones and hardware.

The manufacturer (i.e. Motorola, Nokia, Plantronics) handles warranty exchanges for accessories, such as bluetooth headsets, wall chargers and batteries.

By: Shonika Proctor
